Steelcase WorkLife showrooms are centered around the idea that work and life are on a filtered continuum, and that contemporary modes or ‘postures’ of work influence how well we work and how satisfied we are while working. This interior renovation is structured around three key elements: Gradiation – twelve-foot tall monolithic glass walls that unexpectedly organize and screen, Filtration – a thickened, interior ‘brise soleil’ wall holding casework and utilities that shields showroom from entry areas, and Exposure – deep cuts into ceilings and floors, revealing structure overhead, and secondary program below.
